HONOLULU, HI — Memorial Day at this year’s 50th State Fair is Pasha Hawaii Military Appreciation Day, with free admission for active and retired military personnel and their families. For free admission, military guests will be required to present a valid military I.D.

Highlights of this year’s 50th State Fair include the Anastasini Circus. Giovanni Anastasini, an eighth generation member of the world-renowned Anastasini circus family of Italy, is the ringmaster and producer of a magical and thrilling show. Featuring a diverse, international group of performers from Italy, Russia, Mexico, Columbia, Bulgaria, and the United States, the circus provides an exciting, world-class entertainment experience for Hawaii’s families. The high wire performers, aerial acts, costume magic, illusions, and thrill acts will have the audience in awe of the strength, beauty, and artistry of the circus performers. After each show, the audience will be invited to come to the circus ring to meet and take photos with the performers.

A new ride called the Equinox will also be unveiled, providing riders with controlled flips while rotating fifty feet above the ground.
