Blackjack 556 Turkey Trot Fundraiser
Our gold-star families still need our support as they navigate this incredibly difficult time and begin rebuilding their families and their lives. This particular fundraising effort is tied to a Thanksgiving Turkey Trot Fun Run on Wheeler Army Airfield that will be conducted Thursday, November 23, 2017. Proceeds from T-shirt sales and donations will go directly to helping our gold-star families. The Blackjacks and our gold-star families truly appreciate the phenomenal support from our community and beyond.
On August 15th, 2017, 25th CAB UH-60 Black Hawk, callsign “Blackjack 556,” crashed during a training flight on Oahu. 1LT Kathryn Bailey, CW3 Brian Woeber, CW3 Stephen Cantrell, SSG Abigail Milam, and SSG Michael Nelson lost their lives in that crash. Each of them left behind friends, families, teammates, and loved ones who will miss them dearly. Since that tragic night, the military and local communities have come together in amazing fashion to support these incredibly resilient gold-star families.
